Argus may amend price assessments for tantalum and tantalite
25 March 2019
The commodities journal Argus proposes to change the frequency of its assessment for tantalum scrap 99.9% vacuum melted delivered to US consumer US$/lb to weekly, from monthly, to better reflect the liquidity of the market.
Argus also proposes to discontinue its assessment for tantalum scrap 99.9% vacuum melted delivered US processor US$/lb, in line with market requirements.
In addition, Argus proposes to change the specification for tantalite basis 30% Ta2O5 cif main port to basis 25%, in view of a change over a period of time in prevailing grades of tantalite on the global market.
