the Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center (T.I.C.) : Statistics

An international, non-profit association founded in 1974 under Belgian law.

Statistics

The T.I.C. produces annual statistical reviews of the tantalum and niobium industries. These statistics show the main trends in the quantities of niobium and tantalum produced and consumed. Detailed quarterly reports are circulated to participating T.I.C. members and annual summaries are available to non-members through the Bulletin newsletters.

The confidential data is collected from T.I.C. members by Miller Roskell Ltd, a chartered accountancy that is 100% independent of the T.I.C. Miller Roskell is located at 17 Victoria Rd, Thornton-Cleveleys, United Kingdom, FY5 5HT.

The T.I.C. has no access to the confidential data and only sees the anonymised, aggregated data that is presented to members.

T.I.C.’s data are considered to cover the vast majority of the industry, except for tantalum primary production from 2009 onwards due to the increased proportion of production outside the membership, in particular from artisanal mining.

An explanation for how the T.I.C. collects and analyses statistics is available here.

Advancing sustainability, technology, and industry collaboration since 1974.
