A strong year for the tantalum and niobium industry
The 2026 Annual Report reflects a positive year for the global tantalum and niobium sector. Demand remained strong across key markets, investment continued and interest grew in diversified supply, secondary materials, recycling and by-product recovery. The report also considers the continuing influence of geopolitics, tariffs, regulation and global supply-chain challenges.
Resilience, investment and confidence in the future
President Silvana Fehling reflects on a year in which the industry maintained a stable market environment despite wider international pressures.
The report highlights continued investment and project development, greater attention to secure and diversified sources of supply, and the increasing importance of secondary materials and recycling.
It also looks ahead to the role tantalum and niobium will continue to play in the technologies and industries of the future.
