Annual General Meeting (AGM) & Technical Conference

2025 AGM Report

The 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on the morning of Monday, 15 September, marking another important milestone in the Association’s calendar. Members approved key motions, including the Minutes of the 65th General Assembly and the budget for the 2025–2026 financial year.

Membership growth and engagement remained strong. Six companies were elected as new Corporate Members, alongside one new Associate Member. In addition, two companies that had been approved during the 2024–2025 year by email vote were formally ratified by the AGM. Over the past year, six Corporate Members chose not to renew their membership. Further details will be published in the January 2026 Bulletin.

At the AGM, Mr Janny Jiang and Mr Dhram Kotecha chose not to stand for re-election to the Executive Committee. The remaining nine Committee members confirmed their intention to stand again, and five new candidates were nominated. Following a successful vote, the following twelve individuals were elected, by the required majority, to form the 2025–2026 Executive Committee (listed alphabetically by surname):

  • Mr Fabiano Costa
  • Ms Silvana Fehling
  • Mr Ronald Gilerman
  • Mr David Gussack
  • Ms Belinda Huang
  • Mr Jiang Bin
  • Mr Robert Marchiando
  • Ms Nancy Nan
  • Ms Candida Owens

Ms Silvana Fehling was re-elected as President for the coming year, reflecting the continued confidence of the membership in her leadership.

Conference Highlights

The AGM formed part of the world’s leading international tantalum–niobium conference. Despite recent negative perceptions surrounding South Africa, the event attracted over 135 delegates representing more than 80 companies worldwide. Hosted in the consistently impressive setting of Cape Town, the conference proceeded smoothly and concluded as a clear success.
