59th General Assembly

The Fifty-ninth General Assembly was held in Kigali, Rwanda, from Sunday October 14th to Wednesday October 17th 2018. It was generously sponsored by Cronimet Central Africa AG (gold) and Jiujiang Zhongao Tantalum & Niobium Co. Ltd (silver). 2018 AGM report:
The 2018 AGM was held on the morning of October 15th. During the AGM, motions were passed including minutes from the 58th General Assembly and the budget for 2019 financial year. Eight companies were elected as new corporate members of the association and one organisation joined as an associate member. During the last year one company transferred corporate membership and nine did not renew corporate membership. Full details are provided in Bulletin 176 (published in January 2019).
Mr Conor Broughton did not stand for re-election to the Executive Committee. The other ten members of the Executive Committee had confirmed their wish to stand for re-election. Two new candidates also came forward. The member delegates approved the following twelve people to form their Executive Committee: Mr Fabiano Costa*, Mr John Crawley, Mr David Gussack, Ms Silvana Fehling*, Mr Jiang Bin, Mr Janny Jiang, Ms Kokoro Katayama, Mr Raveentiran Krishnan, Mr Ben Mwangachuchu, Ms Candida Owens, Dr Daniel Persico and Mr Alexey Tsorayev. Of these twelve, Mr John Crawley was elected as President of the T.I.C. for the coming year.
